I am working hard to make this forum nicer - and it isn't as easy as it used to be for me - due to other demands on my time and due to getting sleepy and unfocused alot easier..

so for now - this is as far as I got.

I know this light gray font color isn't gonna work out on the light backgrounds - I was trying to replace the black font color on the dark backgrounds and got carried away... I will fix it - so all text is easy to see no matter where it is.

and there is a slight defect in the template itself - the css file - which I am trying to figure out why it is doing it - not showing cellpic 2 which is just a gray gradient which it is supposed to do in 2 areas but it is showing the paw prints instead - I will either fix that or I will buttonize the text or do something so that it is easy to see the text.

but for tonight - I think I have to call it quits. after posting alot - and working on this template a bit - I am worn out and my head cant seem to get around the css error that I have been trying to figure out why it is doing that and how to fix it.

*sigh* I will have to look at other css files to see if I can figure out  why it isn't showing the cell pic 2 - gray gradient - where it is supposed to.

I know how to fix this light gray text on the light backgrounds - no problem - just don't want to go thru all the numbers tonight to find the right ones and change them.

     

ps: sis - I did manage to use spelling cow without a problem... maybe it was them or maybe something else earlier.

you will note that I have changed the "dress" (template) for this forum.

However - that is because it is more the proper colors to begin with - I will now change images and such to make it look almost as it did. but the other color scheme aspect is now proper to the images I wished to use.

tho I am considering using the xbox theme I made for Bobby - then customizing it for this forum.  

anyway - I am playing around - the content of posts is unaltered - but I will be "changing clothes" of this forum until I am satisfied with the way it looks.

well, you probably won't have noticed, because when it changes - it changes everything - so  you cannot see all the messing around I have done so far.

this is called quidditch. I am satisfied with it as a base. now, I have just finished customizing images such as post, reply, etc.. and now I am going to work on the other images. Since this is the only forum using this template - I dont have to rename it which is good. But i may anyway, so that I can use this template in other places.

anyway. NOw, I am gonna go work on the paw print patterns and the logo so that it is pet tales - I dont think I can make it as cute as it was cuz this template doesnt give me the space... but I will see what I can do.

I know I also need to make the text larger - this small stuff wont do for our old eyes   I know the smilies look a tad odd too - on a darker background - but  ..... lets see how it looks otherwise.

ok.... well if you are keeping track of my progress, I have been working all this time just to try to get the background image into place.... this template css is written differently, so I am having some trouble. Plus part of it is in another file...

well, I am going to see what I can do about making the logo and then I am quitting for tonight. I am supposed to watch the baby tonight - and I am feeling very frustrated as it is right now because this is alot more difficult than I anticipated and it is taking me alot more time than I thought it would.

but the stuff like changing font size - thats easy and I can do that in one second when I get to that part - right now I am still working on the images part.

finally! I went thru different css files, then organized the one for this template - and found what was wrong (actually missing) and I was able to fix all the stuff that was aggravating me.

Of course, I just remembered I didnt eat my dinner - thats why I am feeling so grrrrrrrrr and starving grumbling in my tummy too - so I will eat and then maybe I will have the ability to keep going.

but then I am unsure because I am supposed to be watching Gabriel even now but his mommy and daddy are still up ... so it isnt my turn yet.

I am very glad for that! I worked hard, and have some doubts about a dark template - mainly due to the fact that the smilies are for lighter backgrounds... but I do like it too - but I still have to find out why some of the text is so small - and fix it.
